Handling a Flare Up
Different types of detox reactions that may cause a flare:
Detox Reaction
Die Off Reaction
Herxheimer Reaction (“Herx”)
Detox Reaction:
A detox type of reaction can occur when you are utilizing detox therapies, supplements, or are supporting your body’s natural detoxifying abilities.
It can also occur when taking too much detoxification support, such as a detox protocol that your body is not able to keep up the with. Using detoxification supplements, such as binders like HM-ET or Biotoxin Binder or herbals, is often the culprit. Going slower with your detox protocol as needed will help.
Die Off Reaction - From Antimicrobials (Similar to a Herx)
If you’re on an antimicrobial supplement and symptoms flare up as you build up your tolerance or dose (and if they continue the longer you are on it), then you’re likely not doing enough detox work to eliminate the pathogens and pathogenic byproducts that are being killed/released.
If you are on a detox protocol such as Cellcore products, Para 1, 2 or 3, you can add more supportive detox supplements such as binders, Tudca, KL-Support, Lymph activ, and/or increase the dosage as a practitioner recommends.
Some supportive detox tools to have on hand for daily use are the following: rebounding, coffee enemas, castor oil packs, dry brushing, infrared sauna, epsom salt
baths, and drinking plenty of water. Any way you can increase the frequency of use of these tools will help with pulling you out of a die off reaction flare.
Sometimes overdoing these tools can cause too much detox as well, and this is where binders can be used to help grab any toxins that are being mobilized.
The key is to strive for a balance of killing, binding, and eliminating in a way that makes symptoms manageable while also continuing to lower your toxic load and get rid of pathogens.
